The USSR wanted to attack Germany, it reaches forst in Belgium, its capital city, after adolf hitler committed suicide

Summing up Germany in 1930:

·      Kaiser Wilhelm abdicated and fled to Holland creating a vacuum

·      It was crushed by the TOV: economic, from reparations and major industrial areas

·      The new and unstable Weimar Republic

·      Rampant poverty, reduction of GNP

·      Land of Germany are given to France and other countries and many new countries are formed

WHAT ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES AND WW2 ?

There are many links that connect the Treaty of Versailles and the cause of The world war 2.

Based on a source- (http://lemoyne.edu/Portals/11/pdf_content/library/101paper.pdf),  it says that “ The Treaty of Versailles is the main cause of World War 2”

One of the links that connect the Treaty of Versailles and the start of the World War 2 is that the treaty put restrictions on Germany’s military. The production of Germany’s military weapon has been reduced because Germany’s military are not allowed to be more than one hundred thousand men and a navy of fifteen thousand. Under the treaty, Germany wasn’t allowed to use an air force, armored cars, tanks, heavy guns, submarines and dirigibles. This was caused after the world war one as one of the agreements signed from both sides - the triple entente and Germany.

Secondly, the league of nations did nothing to stop Hitler, who is rising and gaining all the trust of the Germans.

Third, the treaty of Versailles provisions harmed each of the three things that Germany’s economy lied on  which are the overseas commerce and trade, iron and coal, and its transport and tariff system. these things were blocked by the Treaty of Versailles and so, Germany has no other things to rely on to support the country’s economy. these things affect

Fourth, the treaty of Versailles also weakened Germany’s government which cause many troubles at the end. this cause the rise of fascism and Hitler in Germany. all of these factors conclude up the cause of the world war 2.

Fifth, The treaty of Versailles put germany on depression mode allowing Hitler to come to power which led to the WORLD WAR 2.

THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES

the treaty of Versailles has been known as the peace treaty that was made at the end of World War 1 to end the state of war between Germany and the Allied power which is also known as the triple Entente - consisting of the British empire, France Empire and the Russian Empire.

The treaty of Versailles have started to be written on the early years of 1919 on the Versailles Palace or also known as the Paris Peace Conference Hall because it is located near Paris.

The treaty of Versailles have been signed at the 28th of june 1919, exactly 5 years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

THE BIG THREE

the big three are the representatives from different countries that joined the negotiation of making the decision of the Treaty of Versailles. however these three people play a major role on the decision making since these person took most of the decisions. Nobody from Germany and Austria was allowed to join in.

Woodrow wilson = american president
David Lloyd George = the british prime minister
Georges Clemenceau = the france prime minister


they all have different opinion on what to be received by germany

USA
as the USA's representative Woodrow Wilson suggested that if they will punish Germany, it will not be good, since they will only get revenge in the future. Woodrow Wilson also suggested 14 points that in his view would bring up the world peace

FRANCE
since the decision has been represented by Georges Clemenceau, he said that he wanted germany to be punished and brought down to its knees for making this terrible war.

BRITAIN
David Lloyd has two view on germany . since he is a politician, he could not be soft on germany since he wanted to be elected by the british, but then in his own opinion, he actually wanted Germany to be left alone for it is the only country in central europe that can stop the spread of communism
