WHAT ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES AND WW2 ?
There are many links that connect the Treaty of Versailles and the cause of The world war 2.
Based on a source- (http://lemoyne.edu/Portals/11/pdf_content/library/101paper.pdf), it says that “ The Treaty of Versailles is the main cause of World War 2”
One of the links that connect the Treaty of Versailles and the start of the World War 2 is that the treaty put restrictions on Germany’s military. The production of Germany’s military weapon has been reduced because Germany’s military are not allowed to be more than one hundred thousand men and a navy of fifteen thousand. Under the treaty, Germany wasn’t allowed to use an air force, armored cars, tanks, heavy guns, submarines and dirigibles. This was caused after the world war one as one of the agreements signed from both sides - the triple entente and Germany.
Secondly, the league of nations did nothing to stop Hitler, who is rising and gaining all the trust of the Germans.
Third, the treaty of Versailles provisions harmed each of the three things that Germany’s economy lied on which are the overseas commerce and trade, iron and coal, and its transport and tariff system. these things were blocked by the Treaty of Versailles and so, Germany has no other things to rely on to support the country’s economy. these things affect
Fourth, the treaty of Versailles also weakened Germany’s government which cause many troubles at the end. this cause the rise of fascism and Hitler in Germany. all of these factors conclude up the cause of the world war 2.
Fifth, The treaty of Versailles put germany on depression mode allowing Hitler to come to power which led to the WORLD WAR 2.
